Multiples

  • CH 8 (+2)

Base

  • SC in 2nd & 3rd CH from hook,
  • Repeat: *CH 5, skip 5, 3 CH* {2 CH in last set}

Pattern repeat

Turn after each row.

  • SC in 1st stitch, 
  • Repeat: *skip next, 9 DC in CH-5 space, skip next, SC* 

  • SC, CH 4, skip 3,
  • Repeat: *SC in next 3, CH 5, skip 7*, {CH 4, skip 3 in last set}, SC in last stitch 

  • CH 3, 4 DC in CH-4 space, skip next, SC
  • Repeat: *skip next, 9 DC in CH-5 space, skip next, SC*
  • Skip next, 4 DC in CH-4 space, DC in last stitch

  • 2 SC,
  • Repeat: *CH 5, skip 5, 3 CH* {2 CH in last set}

Finish

  • End with Pattern R1 or 3 for curved finish
  • End with Pattern R2 or 4 for straight finish
  • SC in each stitch around for border

Variant

  • No. of DCs in CH-space for taller/shallower or wider/narrower arches {MUST be odd no.}
  • Chains in CH-space adjustable in accordance to arch
  • E.g. 7 DC in CH-3 space for taller and narrower arches
