Puff

  • YO, insert and pull up a loop {3 loops on hook}
  • YO, insert into same stitch and pull up a loop {5 loops on hook}
  • YO, pull through all 5 loops

* Puff stitches are worked as drop stitch i.e. 2 rows below

Multiples

  • CH 5

Base

  • DC in 4th CH from hook,
  • *Skip 4 CH, Shell*
  • DC in last 2 stitches
  • CH 3, turn, DC in next stitch
  • *Shell in each CH-1 space*
  • DC in last 2 stitches

Pattern repeat

Change colour.
Turn after each row.

Variant

  • Use standing DC instead of beginning with CH 3 for each row
  • Increase/decrease YOs of the Drop Puff stitch for thicker/thinner cat “legs”
